Chapter 5 : Recording Session

The Sub-Station, Rosyth with Michael Brennan

I awoke to sun-filled skies.   After a caffeine injection, we were ready to roll.

Fugue arrived first.

We arrived around midday…

But where was Kevin…   He is usually the first on the scene.    Of the four of us, he normally the most punctual.

After almost an hour's worth of frantic phonecalls – we discovered he had had a rough morning.

He had ran over a dog, sponsored a Colombian child and broken down outside the sprawling Metropolis of Oakley.    The RAC couldn't find him…   It's Oakley FFS – not fuckin' Brigadoon…

Finally, he arrived – sporting a somewhat bemused smile…

The hard work began.

Michael Brennan jnr engineered the recording of the drum tracks for the 5 songs to feature on our next EP.

Laid-back and easygoing by nature, it's always a pleasure working with him.

After polishing off the last wedge of our pizzas we departed – armed with our prized recordings.   A good solid backbone on which we will now layer up the remaining instrumentation and vocals – all in the production of the next series of aural landscapes that will flesh out our second EP.

Hopefully we will have sound-bites available for you to savour in the near future.

Watch this space!

Peace!!
